Canephron N 1ml/ml, oral drops, 100ml - Urinary Tract Infections Cystitis
Indications: a traditional herbal medicinal product used as a supportive and supplementary treatment in the treatment of mild inflammatory diseases of the lower urinary tract and as a preventive measure and supportive treatment of patients with urinary tract stones or a tendency to the accumulation of kidney sand.
Action: Canephron N is a traditional herbal medicinal product whose indications are based solely on long-term use.
Dosage: adults and children over 12 years of age: orally, 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening) 74 drops, which corresponds to 5 ml in a single dose. During use, it is recommended to take an increased amount of fluids. Canephron N can be taken with other liquids (e.g. a glass of water). Shake before use. Keep the bottle upright when dosing. Canephron N can be used for up to four weeks (for continued use after three weeks, consult your doctor). Treatment with Canephron N may be repeated in patients who have tolerated treatment well in the past. If the symptoms worsen or do not improve after about 7 days, then the patient should consult a doctor for further treatment.
Composition: 100 ml of liquid contains: active substances: extract (1: 56) from 1.8 g of a mixture of Centaurium erythraea Rafn sl, herba (thousandwort herb); Levisticum officinale Koch., radix (lovage root); Rosmarinus officinalis L., folium (rosemary leaf) in the ratio (1:1:1). First extractant: ethanol 59% (V/V). Contains up to 19.5% (V/V) alcohol.
Contraindications: allergy (hypersensitivity) to the active substances or to any of the excipients of this drug; allergy to other plants from the celery family (e.g. anise, fennel), anethole (component of essential oils, e.g. anise or fennel); stomach ulcers. Do not use in the case of edema caused by heart or kidney disorders and / or if reducing the amount of fluid intake has been recommended by a doctor.
Warnings and precautions: If you have persistent fever, cramps, blood in your urine, difficulty urinating, or acute urinary retention, consult your doctor immediately. The drug should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
Interactions with other drugs: Interactions with other drugs are not known. Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or might take.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: For safety reasons, the use of the drug in pregnant women should be avoided. Canephron N should not be used during breast-feeding. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. The decision to use the medicinal product in pregnant patients is made each time by the doctor, after assessing the benefits and risks of the therapy.
Driving and using machines: No special precautions required. Canephron N contains about 19% vol. of alcohol, which means that there is approximately 0.75 g of alcohol in 5 ml of the product. This is equivalent to 19 ml of beer or 8 ml of wine. This can be harmful for people addicted to alcohol. The presence of alcohol should also be taken into account when using the product in high-risk groups, such as people with liver disease or epilepsy.
