Dragon fruit is a tropical fruit which grows on a climbing cactus with long branches. It is known for its bright usually red fleshy skin with overlapping scales and sweet pulp. This is the less common yellow skinned variety, I find the flavor of this one pleasantly sherbet tasting, a hint of a lemony tang but so mellow it does not over ride the sweetness. The skin is thin and peels off easily revealing the delicious white flesh and many tiny black edible seeds. The taste and texture is similar to a mild kiwi fruit.
