this is One of the oldest and most common varieties, Mary Washington grows quickly and is very hardy. A high yielding variety that is tender and succulent and produces lances of a delicious dark green color with a tinge of purple. Harvest from October to November- plants should be at least 18 months before first light harvest. Prefers a full sun position.
