The lamb's lettuce grows spontaneously in meadows and prairies with a certain degree of humidity. It should be grown in moist soils and environments and with cool to cold temperatures. The seeds are sown directly in the garden, in rows or broadcast, from mid-summer, when it starts to cool down. The seedlings are thinned out, leaving a separation of about 10 cm between them. To promote germination, it is advisable to submerge the seed in water for one or two days before sowing. Harvest begins a month and a half after planting, and you can continue harvesting until spring. It has diuretic, cleansing and laxative properties. It is low in fat. More nutritious than lettuce, with a greater amount of provitamin A and vitamins B and C and various minerals. Especially iodine, but also iron, potassium, phosphorus and others. It is used fresh in salads, generally mixed with other vegetables.
