Asarina procumbens (Asarina procumbens) is a perennial plant of the Figwort family belonging to the genus Asarina. Perennial plant with velvety leaves and fragrant flowers, growing naturally from 400 to 1800 meters in the Pyrenees against the rocks or in the interstices of these.
The stems, very hairy, are creeping. Leaves opposite, rather rounded, broadly crenate, connected to the stem by a long petiole. The flowers, quite similar to those of snapdragons, are yellowish, with a more yellow spot on the lower lip and some purplish or reddish streaks. They are about 3 cm long and they are very pleasantly scented.
Blooms from late spring to mid-autumn.
