Snapdragon (Antirrhinum Majus Maximum Ruby) - This annual is a favorite flower in gardens of Europe, because it readily establishes from Snapdragon seeds, and it gives an incredible display of colorful blooms. Dark Red Snapdragons should be grown in rich, well-drained soil. Grow them in full sun, and space this tall variety 12 - 18 inches (30 cm) apart. After they are done blooming, trim the plants back, and they will quickly be blooming again. They perform best in cooler summer climates. In hot regions, provide the plants with some afternoon shade.
