The resilient Danish Ballhead cabbage passed down through generations of Dutch colonists on Amager island centuries ago owes its success to the iconic Amager variety. This heirloom plant made its way across Europe and into America in 1887 when W. Atlee Burpee & Company first presented it to their customers in Philadelphia.
Sow in early spring, late summer & autumn at 5mm deep, 40cm apart. Germination in 1-2 weeks at 12-26°C. Maturity in 100 days.
