Description:
Nifuroxazide has antibacterial activity against most bacteria causing intestinal infections. It is effective against Gram-positive cocci of the genera Staphylococcus and Streptococcus as well as Gram-negative microorganisms (Salmonella, Shigella, Klebsiella, Escherichia). It has no effect on bacteria from the genera Proteus, Pseudomonas, Providentia. It does not disturb the proper microbiological balance of the digestive tract. Nifuroksazide acts quickly, only in the intestinal lumen, is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, and has no systemic effect. It is quickly excreted from the body.
Indications:
Nifuroksazyd 200 Hasco, coated tablets is used in acute or chronic diarrhea in the course of bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract.
Contraindications:
Not to use if you are allergic to any ingredients of this product.
Kids:
The medicine should not be given to children under 6 years of age without the recommendation and supervision of a doctor.
Dosage:
Oral administration.
Adults: 800 mg daily in 2-4 divided doses.
Children over 6 years of age: 600 to 800 mg daily in 2-4 divided doses.
Do not use for longer than 3 days without consulting your doctor.

The active substance of the medicine is nifurooxazide in an amount of 200 mg per tablet.
The other ingredients (excipients) are: potato starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, yellow coating: Opadry II composed of: polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350, quinoline yellow, lake (E 104), talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), sunset yellow (E 110), indigo carmine, lake (E 132).
