Indications:
Used topically in skin inflammations of various origins, primarily allergic ones, of moderate severity, which respond to glucocorticoids. Local treatment of: atopic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, hives and reactions following insect stings or bites (such as itching and irritation).
Composition:
1g of cream contains 10mg of hydrocortisone acetate, other ingredients are: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, macrogol cetostearyl ether, liquid paraffin, sorbitan stearate, white petrolatum, purified water.
Action:
Has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and vasoconstrictive properties.
How to use:
Intended for topical use on the skin. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin 1 or 2 times a day. Maxicortan should be used according to the measurement of FTU (Fingertip Units). 1 FTU determines the amount of cream squeezed from the tube in a line from the tip to the fold of the first joint of the index finger of an adult (~ 2.5 cm), which corresponds to 0.5 g of cream. Smaller areas will require correspondingly smaller amounts of cream.
Contraindications:
Allergy to hydrocortisone acetate or any of the ingredients of the drug. If you have a bacterial, viral or fungal infection. If you have rosacea, skin atrophy, skin cancer, lip dermatitis, tuberculous lesions, open skin wounds and skin lesions, on facial skin, in children under 12 years of age.
