HYLO DUAL® moisturizes the cornea and conjunctiva and protects against excessive tear evaporation. Stabilizing the tear film - especially the lipid phase - relieves eye irritation that can be associated with inflammatory symptoms or caused by allergies. The burning and itching feeling in the eye disappears.

Dry, burning, itchy and watery eyes as well as the feeling of having sand in the eyes are typical symptoms of dry and/or irritated eyes. These are often signs that the eye is not sufficiently hydrated.

The dual active principle of hyaluronic acid and ectoine

The ectoine additionally contained in HYLO DUAL® is obtained from microorganisms that live under extreme conditions. To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce the natural substance ectoine. This means that the microorganisms are able to compensate, for example, for strong fluctuations in the salt or water content of their environment.

In HYLO DUAL® , ectoine increases water binding to the cells on the surface of the eye and thus forms a physiological barrier on the cornea and conjunctiva against inflammatory stimuli. At the same time, ectoine stabilizes the lipid portion of the tear film, which protects against excessive evaporation of tear fluid. The dual active principle alleviates environmental irritations that lead to inflammatory symptoms, as well as the itching and burning symptoms typical of allergies.
