Indications:
Tantum Verde is a sore throat spray that can be used even by the youngest children. It is recommended for the treatment of ailments and symptoms, such as: pain, redness or swelling, related to viral and bacterial infections of the mouth and throat, laryngitis, mucositis after radiotherapy, in conditions after surgery in ENT and dentistry, and also after intubation.
Properties:
The active substance of the Tantum Verde aerosol is benzydamine of the highest quality (minimum 99% purity). Benzydamine is an indazole derivative with anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling and analgesic effects. When applied topically, it has an anesthetic and antiseptic effect. Tantum Verde inhibits vascular changes caused by agitated, adherent or migrating leukocytes. It has a stabilizing effect on cell membranes. It inhibits the permeability of capillaries, which translates into an anti-oedematous effect. The preparation penetrates mucous membranes well, accumulates in inflamed tissues and is minimally absorbed into the general circulation. It provides a precise and safe application directly to the source of pain - the place of inflammation, and has a pleasant taste, which significantly facilitates its use in children.
Composition:
100 ml of the solution contains the active substance, 0.15 g of benzydamine hydrochloride and excipients: glycerol, ethanol 96 °, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, mint flavor, saccharin, sodium bicarbonate, polysorbate 20, purified water. 1 ml of liquid or 1 ml of spray contains 1.5 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride.
Use:
Children under 6 years: 1 dose per 4 kg body weight, 2-6 x 24h (regardless of body weight, do not exceed 4 doses at one time)
Children from 6 to 12 years: 4 doses, 2-6 x 24h
Children over 12 years and adults: 4-8 doses, 2-6 x 24h
Important information:
The products are not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or its excipients.
