What is PROSPAN® cough syrup?
PROSPAN® cough syrup for children is used to treat persistent coughs . A persistent cough that is not coughed up can lead to inflammation of the respiratory tract. It is therefore all the more important to liquefy the stuck mucus and thus support coughing . You can use Prospan cough syrup for children for this purpose.
In our online pharmacy you can get the cough syrup in two pack sizes. You can choose between packs of 100 ml and 200 ml each.

When you should use PROSPAN® cough syrup
We recommend the following application and dosage:
Old single dose total daily dose
Children under 6 years of age 2.5 ml corresponds to 17.5 mg ivy leaf dry extract 5 ml (2 x 2.5 ml) corresponds to 35 mg ivy leaves dry extract
children aged 6-12 5 ml corresponds to 35 mg ivy leaf dry extract 10 ml (2 x 5 ml) corresponds to 70 mg ivy leaf dry extract
Children from 12 years and adults 5 ml corresponds to 35 mg ivy leaf dry extract 15 ml (3 x 5 ml) corresponds to 105 mg ivy leaf dry extract
Follow the dosage exactly as indicated on the package insert to avoid overdosing.
Use the measuring cup provided to take the juice and make dosing easier. The cup will help you avoid overdosing. The juice should be taken in the morning (or at lunchtime if necessary) and in the evening. Shake the bottle well before each use!
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the illness and should generally be 1 week. However, if the symptoms persist for longer than 1 week, medical advice should be sought. If symptoms persist for a longer period of time or if shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately. Do not use the juice for longer without consulting a doctor to avoid an overdose.
