Sweet potato is a thick twining herbaceous vine of the genus Jicama, family Leguminosae, scientific name Jicama, it is a fruit and a vegetable, peeling can be eaten, native to tropical America, widely distributed in the tropical regions of the Eastern Hemisphere!

How to grow sweet potatoes
Selection and preparation of land: choose sandy loam soil with sufficient sunlight and good drainage, apply enough basic fertiliser and then plough.
Seed treatment: soak the seeds in warm water for 12-24 hours to germinate.
Sowing method: open holes according to row spacing of 40-50cm and plant spacing of 20-30cm, put 1-2 seeds in each hole, cover the soil and water.
Water and fertiliser management: keep the soil moist, apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertiliser 2-3 times, and drain and prevent flooding in the rainy season.
Field management: timely weeding, appropriate topping, to promote the growth of root mass.
Harvesting: 4-5 months after sowing, harvest when the leaves are yellow, dig lightly to avoid damaging the roots.

Simple management can be high yield, cool potatoes tender and juicy, easy to plant!
