Part of title in redMorocco. Marbled edges. Scratches on boards. Caps and joints slightly rubbed. Superb English binding. the first volume contains many scenes of the Pyrenees, very fashionable then. Another volume contains many scenes of the Loire (Saumur, Angers, Amboise ...). The book seeks to bring together all that is remarkable in France, both from an architectural point of view landscape, illustration accompanying the historical and descriptive text. The illustrative wealth is remarkable, and we admire as the Chteau de Pau as the Pantheon, the Circus Gavarni the cathedral of Orleans.
