UTIPRO PLUS for urological infections x15 capsules/Montavit
Utipro Plus AF from Montavit is a medical device in the form of capsules for the control and prevention of urinary tract infections caused by pathogenic microorganisms, such as E. coli and other Gram(-) bacteria, commonly involved in the etiology of urological infections. The chemical compound based on Gelatin and Xyloglucan (hemicellulose) acts mechanically in the intestinal lumen and forms a biofilm on the intestinal mucosa, thus preventing the contact of pathogenic microorganisms with the intestinal mucosa, where is the first step for their spread and subsequent passage to the urinary tract. Utipro Plus should be taken orally as soon as the first symptoms of urinary tract disease appear, in order to reduce the spread of pathogenic microorganisms, which can turn into infection. In cases of recurrent infections (relapses), Utipro plus AF is also intended to prevent new episodes in which the spread of pathogenic microorganisms triggers recurrent urinary tract infections.
Attention:
The diagnosis of a urinary tract infection (UTI) should be made by a doctor.
The acute form of UTIs may require antibiotic treatment.
This product has no bactericidal or bacteriostatic properties and cannot replace antibiotic treatment.
Utipro® plus AF can be administered concomitantly with antibiotic therapy.
Although no side effects are known, it is recommended that the product not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless otherwise instructed by a healthcare professional.
Do not use the product after the expiry date printed on the package.
Do not take capsules if the blister is open or damaged.
Store at room temperature, in a dry place, away from heat sources.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Take the capsule with liquid.
Dosage:
In patients who develop the first symptoms of discomfort when urinating, Utipro® plus AF should be taken 2 capsules per day (1 capsule every 12 hours) for 5 days.
To prevent relapses, 1 capsule per day should be taken for at least 15 consecutive days a month.
If necessary, the treatment can be repeated.
