The Tone City TC-T37 Mad Stone is a classic germanium diode fuzz pedal with an Octave-Up function, high quality DIP component, and true bypass circuitry.The Tone City Mad Stone is a dual-button, germanium-transistor fuzz pedal that offers classic yet versatile fuzz tones at an affordable price.The Mad Stone uses germanium transistors, which provides a more vintage, rounded sound than their silicon transistor counterparts. Germanium-transistors fuzz pedals have a strong mid-range emphasis which gives them their recognisable warm sound and generally have a better dynamic response.Warm fuzz tones are great, but if you want to go bigger and brighter with your sound then activate the octave up function. This adds a higher octave signal than not only gives your sound a doubled-up effect, it really helps it cut through the mix thanks to the higher octave tones.
