Porcelain figurine of the Russian Mikhalkov's fables "The Fox and the Beaver" Earliest version (since the base of the bottom is flat and small hole, Stamp on the bottom LFZ and specified highest grade. Circa - late 1940' or early 1950' ) Lomonosov Porcelain Factory. In very good condition, the fox had a small chip on one ear which has been professionally restored. Height 12.5cm. / 4.7" base diameter 6.7cm. / 2.3"
The LFZ figurine "The Fox and the Beaver" is a professional work of the talented sculptor B. Vorobyov, based on the fable of the same name. The bright and expressive porcelain composition vividly reflects the human vices and weaknesses ridiculed by the writer. A cunning young fox, dressed in the latest fashion under the arm with a businesslike, but a bit old beaver. The picturesqueness of the figurine is enhanced by the painting, the author of which was the artist I. Riznich. The figurine is in excellent condition, a chic exhibit in the collection of porcelain literary characters.
