Carved agate cat figurine pale color cubist style as new vintage cm1330

This carved agate cat figurine is a light color, sort of like lemon or lime juice. The lines and details are simple, almost cubist in style. The pose is just pounced. It is 3.5 inches from nose to tail.

It may be from Mexico. It reminds me of pieces I saw there either figurines or chess sets. I purchased this years ago on the secondary market so I have no idea as to its true age. Definitely vintage but in perfect condition.
