Product information:
The painkiller Dezamigren is used for the acute treatment of headaches with acute migraine attacks with or without aura.
Dezamigren has anti-migraine and analgesic properties.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Desamigren can only be used in patients with diagnosed migraine.
Adults (aged 18 to 65) The recommended dose is: one tablet (12.5 mg).
The maximum daily dose is two tablets (25 mg). The tablet should be swallowed with some liquid (e.g. water). The tablet can be taken with or without food.
Contraindications:
You should not use the medicine if you: are hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the excipients; has ischemic heart disease (myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, documented silent ischemia, Prinzmetal's angina); has severe hypertension or uncontrolled mild or moderate hypertension; has had a cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or has a transient ischemic attack (TIA); has peripheral vascular disease; has severe liver problems.
Composition:
The active substance is almotriptan (Almotriptani malas).
Each film-coated tablet contains 12.5 mg of almotriptan as almotriptan malate (Almotriptani malas).
Excipients: Tablet core: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 29/32, sodium starch glycolate (Type A), sodium stearyl fumarate. Tablet coating: hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 400.
