LP by Springfield, Missouri band THE OZARK MOUNTAIN DAREDEVILS, titled:
1. "IT'LL SHINE WHEN IT SHINES" original 1974 pressing on A&M Records SP 3654, STEREO, made in USA. Original A&M paper inner sleeve. COMPLETE SET WITH ENCLOSED 11"X33" POSTER WITH PHOTOS, CREDITS AND LYRICS (that is usually misssing from the set). No bar code on back cover.
CONDITION: cover is ex / media ex / Poster is MINT.
PERSONNEL: Michael Granda, Randle Chowing, Larry Lee, Steve Cash, Buddy Brayfield and John Dillon (the original lineup). Guest musicians Glyn Johns (guitar), NICK DE CARO (accordion) and Jody Troutman (background vocals). Band formed 1972 with DEBUT SELF-TITLED ALBUM issued 1973.
MUSIC & COMMENTS: early 70's country-rock blend with occasional blues and adapted pop-jazz moves. Considered by some the "countrified" Steely Dan music style. 12 tracks, featuring band's SECOND HIT "JACKIE BLUE", also a stylistic landmark song of the Daredevils. Studio recordings. Co-produced by guitarist Glyn Johns and David Anderle. Band's SECOND ALBUM and one of their finest two LPs (along with their 1973 debut one). Very interesting, original and special country-rock rendition and band with a unique sound.
