Tommy Hancock was the outstanding fiddle player for the Flatlanders, the seminal Texas alternative country band that also included Joe Ely, Butch Hancock and Jimmy Dale Gilmore. This spooky outlaw rock & roll evening also included John Reed, who has recorded with Roky Erickson, Leon Redbone and Doug Sahm & the Texas Tornados. JR also played cello to Tom Waits' vocals on the haunting Gavin Bryars composition, "Jesus' Blood never failed me yet."
