Five boys from Devils Lake held together by a dream. After a few years, we lost Warren Stenhjem on drums and met Curt 'Ozzy' Osmundson who soon become the best drummer alive. Through Ozzy, we met singer Mike Forester. Mike brought a world class voice and was a very athletic entertainer. We made our first two-song record with Mike at Tri-Arts Studio in Mandan, North Dakota. Mark Glasser replaced Mike and stayed with us long enough to record the Nitro Brothers "Images" album. As the show grew bigger and travel got extensive, Steve Pernu and Fuzzy Briesler joined us to help move-in, move-out and also did a bit of on stage entertaining. After Mark left, we recorded the ‘Naked” EP and the famous "RED" floppy-disk montage. All this couldn't be said, because it wouldn't have been done, without the leadership, tenacity, and tender loving care of 'Sound Engineer/Business Manager' Mike Maxson. We toured until June of 1985- a long run! Nick Michalski, Mike Michalski and Jon Ziegler have been noodling with the idea of resurrecting the band for 3 or 4 years. So, after years of families-wives-kids-jobs-other bands-and-life in general, we've grabbed the Cuervo bottle and reopened this little shop we call The Nitro Brothers.
