Purple Calabash - One of the most interesting looking and complex tasting tomatoes you can grow. The pumpkin shaped tomatoes are about 3 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall and very deeply ribbed. Light green-purple at the shoulders gives way to dark purple at the base and an equally dark purple interior. Very complex tomato flavors, reminding of a fruity cabernet wine. Indeterminate.

All packs of tomato seeds are weighed to 0.1 gm and contain aprox. 25 - 40 seeds, about double a store pack.

Get your seeds EARLY. Tomatoes need to be started 4-6 weeks before you want to plant them out.

I DO save ALL my tomato varieties myself. This is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In the spring we sell plants for at least 300 varieties of tomatoes at the Farmer's Markets. We also plant out a good selection of the varieties for fresh tomatoes later at the markets. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow.
