Collectible truck is a replica of a Vintage 1931 Hawkeye Delivery Truck, Coca-Cola Die-Cast Metal Bank with SANTA.
(The Cola-Cola Company authorized The Ertl Company, Inc. to market a Collector Series of Die-Cast Metal Banks representing vehicles used for distribution of COCA-COLA.
(NRFB - Never Removed From Box). These high-quality scale replicas feature durable die-cast metal construction, realistic rubber tires and authentic decoration for the time period the vehicles were used.
In 1931, The Coca-Cola Company commissioned American illustrator Haddon Sundblom to create an image of Santa Claus for use in a seasonal advertising campaign. Over the next three decades, Sundblom's vision of Santa Claus became the vision of people worldwide.
This die-cast metal bank - THE SECOND IN A SERIES of CHRISTMAS COLLECTOR BANKS being produced, (HARD-TO-FIND item.) Features one of Sundblom's enchanting images of Santa on a delivery truck. ISSUED 1994. Striking fire engine red truck, Santa is illustrated on the side board holding glass coke bottles in his hands. The back of the truck is full of yellow wood crates filled with Coca Cola bottles. Truck measures 7-1/2 inches L x 2-3/4 inches W, 2-3/4 inches H. Nice heavy piece.
