Jewelry was made from the wings, and many different designs existed-the most popular being painted butterfly wing pendants with images of tropical scenes. Since then the morpho butterfly has become rare and butterfly wing jewelry faded into obscurity as companies stopped producing them. Today, butterfly wing jewelry is rare, but still beautiful. MTGRL butterfly wing jewelry is made from many different species of butterflies and colorful moths native to Montana. The butterflies used in the pieces were raised indoors and died of natural causes. No butterflies were harmed to produce the jewelry.
