Like all of my cds, this is an Original CD, with original inserts (NO CD-Rs or bootlegs).....
THE DIALS "AMOEBA AMORE" CD
Fronted by an uber talented bass and guitar co-lead vocalist duo, and armed with a charismatic Farfisa player and a Moon-esque drummer, The Dials are the perfect marriage between 60s girl-groups and 80s power pop-gone-Devo. Once called “the closest thing to a musical saving grace for the modern age,” these Chicago darlings are back and have joined forces with No Fun Records to present their second full-length album and unquestionably most powerful work to date. From the incredibly upbeat opening track “Antonio,” through darker tunes like “Aim and Shoot” and “Bloodsucker,” the in-your-face rocker “Joe Lies,” one tastefully picked out and executed cover, to the eccentric party-time closing track “Carnivale,” “Amoeba Amore” more than delivers the goods from start to finish. It also does an excellent job at capturing the band’s intoxicating live energy, and should give you a pretty good idea for why their irresistible danceable sounds have led The Dials to play with bands like The Woggles, The Bell Rays, The Briefs, The Psychedelic Furs, The Thermals, Tapes-n-Tapes, and The Living Things, T.V. Smith, and Electrelane among others. Pick it up, it won’t disappoint!
