Gorgeous Larger Vintage Greeting Card-Deep Red Rose-Christmas to Mother
Original vintage greeting card that would be great for framing or scrapbooking projects. Very pretty card.
WITH LOVE AT CHRISTMAS, MOTHER! Rather a lovely vintage card with a large red rose as the centerpiece. Surrounded by green holly with red berries. The center of the rose is made out of a raised satin material that blends in nicely with the lithograph image. Accents with sparkling silver glitter.
The saying on the inside reads as follows: Mother, you're sweet As a Christmas Rose... And I'm the one Who really knows At Christmastime And all year through, There's no other Mother As dear as YOU!
Back of card is marked: A GIBSON CARD, GIBSON, CINTI., U.S.A. 50x59661.
Measures 6 inches wide by 7-1/8 inches high. Signed in pencil on the inside.
GOOD CONDITION! (As you can see on the front cover there appears some areas of shaded coloring. When the card was produced as they enclosed the satin padding, they also applied glue to keep the two sides together. Well as this card aged, the particular glue that they used has changed and seeped through.) Still can use the pretty rose image for your projects.
