Commemorative Unused Prepaid Postal Card-The 20th Century Limited J-3a Steam Locomotive Stamp
Very nice collectible commemoritive UNUSED Prepaid Postcard for the .20 CENT STAMP of a J-3a Steam Locomotive Train.
Back of postcard is marked: @1998 USPS. The 20th Century Limited was called a "Natinal Institution" and the "Most Famous Train in the World." With its superfast 16-hour schedule between Chicago and New York, it catered to business travelers. In 1938, designer Henry Dreyfuss redesigned its J-3a steam locomotives and Pullman cars.
Has a backstamp of: OSHTEMO, MI 49077, dating MAY 18, 2001 ~ with the PEANUTS STAMPS BLACK STAMP with the figure of SNOOPY.
CONDITION: EXCELLENT, UNUSED, UNFADED. Vibrant coloring. The surface is a glossy finish.
Measures a LARGER 6 inches wide by 4-1/4 inches high.
