This is a stunning piece of estate jewelry! Done in a high dome shape, it catches the light from all conceivable angles. Starting at the top with a deep purple chaton cut rhinestone, it is circled by alternating emerald and diamond shapes (with touches of tiny chatons) that seem a bit lighter, followed by light opalescent lavender navettes also touched in between with tiny chatons, then finished by a rim of diamond shapes in that beautiful lighter purple that finish the theme with the tiny chatons. The gold toned metal back and clasp are also in excellent condition.
My pictures inside were not able to catch the colors of this piece adequately. I'll try to get some better ones outdoors to see if I can give you a better idea of its beauty!
It you are a vintage jewelry collector, this one will catch your eye from across the room! I'm really surprised it isn't signed! It measures about 1-5/8" diameter and is about 5/8" in height...not too big, not too small.....just right!
This is a piece that would be a stunning accent against white or light neutral, against a pastel...or hold its own on something in regal purple. It's a piece that's bound to become a favorite in its new life!
