This is a lovely and dainty vintage brooch/pin made and signed by the famous Swarovski company. It is a tiny work of art.
Research on this pretty piece has revealed that it is supposedly gold plated and is a retired piece. The finish is elegant enough to support this...and I'll look further to see if it is indeed a retired design.
The fan itself is a delicately chased design, and is set with 2 rows of tiny chaton rhinestones on the tips of each "rib", one at the base, and a totally superbly faceted fan-shaped center stone as the focal point. (You can see what a great stone it is...I had to lay the piece flat to keep it from reflecting my blue blouse even at a distance!) It even has a delicate cord and tassel done in the metal.
It measures a bit over 2" in width and is about 1-1/2" tall. The Swarovski swan is stamped on the back. Overall, it is in excellent condition.
