The music is driven by accordion and bajo sexto (a deep-toned, 12-string guitar), and characterized by sprightly rhythms, a slight country twang, and rich, romantic singing, usually accompanied by harmonies. Francisco's baritone voice is well suited to the music, and his deep affection for the tradition shines through.
