The large vines produce 16 to 24 ounce huge, sweet, red fruit, with just enough "bite" for that old fashioned, home grown taste. Perfect for sandwiches, salads or just eating out of your hand! This is the tomato you remember eating from your grandfather's garden! Plant Type: Indeterminate vinesHarvest: 85 days to maturitySoil: Loose, organic, somewhat sandy soil that is well draining is the best for tomatoes.Soil Preparation: Tomatoes love heat. Cover the planting area with black or red plastic a couple of weeks before you intend to plant. Those extra degrees of warmth will translate into earlier tomatoes. (Mulch after the ground has had a chance to warm up.
