all pieces are approx. 3/4" thick
This history is printed on the back:
"Ida Lewis was 15 when her father, keeper of the Lime Rock, moved his family into the lighthouse. It was a house with a passage way and elevated closet that contained the lamp. after her father suffered a stroke, Ida and her mother tended the light. She eventually received an official appointment to Lime Rock, and served until her death in 1911. Because of her many rescues she became the best known lighthouse keeper of her time."
This a Retired piece! It is original artwork by Faline Jones, and is signed "Faline 97" on the back.
**This piece is from an estate collection and is in great condition with only normal shelf-display wear, with the exception of one very small edge nick just under the lighthouse light
