julie-tom Store Vtg 80's Black Silk Velvet Wiggle Dress & Jacket sz-S Description:This is a vintage 1980's Black Velvet Dress, and a cut-velvet cover-up top with gold metallic appliques. Both the Dress and the top are Pure Silk.This is a stunning outfit, a great addition to your 'Lil Black Dress" collection; this is from designer Anna Christine .The dress gathers at the midruff with v-darts and pleats, it has a deep-inset sleeveless front yoke, with a V-Neckline, creating an empire waist in front, dipping to a standard waist seam in the back . It has a zipper down the back for closure.The Cut-Velvet top follows this dipping waistline; it is 18 long in front, and dips to 23" long in back. (A note about the top, the silk velvet is most likely chemically etched to remove all but the pattern spots, leaving a sheer silk framework. The Gold metalic trim to the black velvet "spots" is appliqued afterwords.) The satin brocade Maker's label says: "Anna Christine", on both the Velvet Dress, and on the cut velvet cover-up top. Both garments also have three side-seam labels which say: (sz)10 ~ All Silk ~ Dry Clean Only.Very Good To Excellent vintage condition. There is a short hem unraveling on the right sleeve cuff, but absolutely no other flaws or issues. see close up pics.
