julie-tom Store Vint.20's Art Deco Silk Gatsby drop-waist Dress sz M Description:Offeredhere is a vintage 1915-1920s dropped and gathered waist "Great Gatsby" Dress, in two-tone blue silk. The dress is two layers, The top consists of the silk sleeveless over blouse, with the dropped peplum drape. The under-dress has Silk full sleeves, tulle netting in the upper body, and has many hidden snapsets around the front and side waist for closure.The over blouse gathers at the side from the waist to the underarm, in a cocoon style with snaps together up the side seam, as well as down thru the peplum gathers; a total of 14 hidden snap-sets.The Peplum drape section of the overblouse, and the sleeves of the under-dress are a shade lighter than the skirt section, and the body of the over-blouse.The cuffs of the dolman style sleeves are bias cut to form a wrist to forearm opening, and these cuffs have a darker piping on the binding edge of the cuff.WE are selling this Dress As-Is For Design-Study and/or for costume display. There are some red-fade spots (minor) to several small spots on the dress. There is slight sun fade down the shoulder-lines of the over-blouse.
