New York Broadway City Scene Very Large Silkscreen Vintage Lithograph Print Limited Edition Pencil SIGNED Artist
A beautiful artist's depiction of the * City That Never Sleeps ~ THE BIG APPLE. As you can see the city is full of activity. Cars, trucks, taxis, vans, buses, moving vans, pedestrians on the move. It appears that the era is approximately the 1950s, 1960s, as the cars are vintage and the persons clothes are an older style. In the lower right corner is a full phone booth.
You can see Broadway, Times Square, Burger Kiing, Coca-Cola, Florsheim Shoes, U Haul, Castro Building, Johnson Cool Band, Forum Movie Theatre Featuring Charles Bronson, etc.
Not certain but I believe this is a silkscreen lithograph print. Looks like it was handpainted in soft pastel colors over the darker etching lines. The main coloring being a beautiful blue hue. llustration is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. No flaws to speak of.
Beautiful piece of artwork. It is also HANDSIGNED BY THE ARTIST IN PENCIL in the lower right hand area. I cannot make out the artists name. (MAYBE SOME KIND PERSON HAS INFORMATION ON THIS PICTURE THAT CAN BE SHARED.)
The LIMITED EDITION NUMBER IN THE LOWER LEFT AREA IS: 85 / 250. (Eighty-five out of Two Hundred and Fifty Issues). Printed on very thicker size paper linen stock.
Housed in its very LARGE vintage wood frame. A nice gold color that compliments the artwork. ORIGINAL OLD GLASS to the frame. A very nice LARGE SOFA SIZE PICTURE. Overall the frame measures 31-1/2 wide by 23-1/2 inches high. The back print measurement is 30 inches wide by 22 inches high.
