Antique Nature Engraving Ca.1838 by Jardine - Salmon Carp

This is an authentic antique engraving published by naturalist Sir William Jardine between 1833 and 1843. The hand colored "Beautiful Salmon-Carp" measures 6 3/8" x 4" (16.2 x 10.2 cm) without the mat. It comes matted, 10" x 12 1/4" (25.4 x 31.2 cm), along with the original description of the illustrated species published at the same time as the print. This print is in excellent condition with no tears, folds, or stains; has minor edge foxing. This item can ship USPS First Class or Priority mail and will be sent flat and supported with cardboard to prevent bending. (#04073-S)
