Antique Nature Engraving Ca.1838 Wm Jardine - Silver Pheasant

This is an authentic antique engraving by naturalist Sir William Jardine, published between 1833 and 1843. The hand colored "Silver Pheasant" measures 6 3/8" x 4" (16.2 x 10.2 cm) without the mat. It comes matted, 10 x 12 1/4" (25.4 x 31.2 cm), along with the original description of the illustrated species published at the same time as the print. This print is in excellent condition with no tears, folds, or stains; it may have minor edge foxing which may be hidden under the mat. This item can ship USPS First Class or Priority mail and will be sent flat with cardboard protection to prevent bending. (#040717-S)
