An Exquisite Rare Antique Art Deco Victorian Australian Tigers Eye Roman Soldier Cameo Ring Gold 1920 Neo Classic. This fine antique piece is made of hand carved Australian tigers eye and antique white gold. The period of the early 1900s was filled with Neo Classic styles that were revived from antiquity, including Greek and Roman classic designs. The influence came from excavations of ancient ruins that were done around this time. The ring holds a piece of tigers eye stone measuring about 14 x 16mm, that had been hand carved by Italian artisans about 100 years ago. The portrait cameo depicts a beautifully carved Roman Soldier. There is a surface chip along the lower left edge of the cameo near the bezel mentioned for accuracy. The setting is composed of antique white gold with incredibly beautiful Fin de Cicle ornamentation. This piece measures about 3/4 inches long by about 3/4 inch wide from side to side.
