Description

Valued for its flavor and attractive fruits, this cucumber is also known as snake melon. It is a heavy producer of light and dark green striped fruit that have a curved shape. An excellent slicer, the flesh is mild, sweet and crunchy. An unusual vegetable in that it tastes and looks like a cucumber but is actually a muskmelon. Also known as snake cucumber or painted serpent cucumber. The fruit are 'S' shaped with ridges that alternate dark and light green with a slightly fuzzy skin. Grows from 25-45 cm long. An unusual variety with a delicious flavour.
