Antique Cameo Ring Pink Art Deco Victorian Filigree c.1900

A Wonderful Antique Cameo Ring Art Deco -Victorian, Neo- Classical Period, Silver Etruscan Revival Filigree c.1900. At the Turn of the Last Century, there was a wonderful movement in art and architecture that revived classic motifs from ancient Rome and Greece. This was known as the Neo-Classic movement. The cameo is something seen in ancient Roman jewels and was popular during the Neo Classic period as well. The cameo in this ring is beautifully hand carved from Italian pink shell by an artisan a century ago. The setting is antique silver with filigree openwork and Etruscan Revival inspired design. Overall the ring measures about 5/8 inch long by about 3/4 inch wide from side to side. Ring Size: about 9 1/2 (could be resized by your jeweler or ask me about using mine before shipping). This piece was acquired through an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition.
