Aboca Melilax Pediatric 6 Micro* 5 gr. was developed for use in treatment of constipation, even when accompanied by intestinal hypersensitivity (as in irritable bowel syndrome), anal fissures, and/or haemorrhoids. Melilax is safe for use during pregnancy and by breastfeeding mothers. Safe for infants.
Aboca Melilax for Infants and Children is a micro enemas with honey, combining a balanced action of evacuation to a protective and soothing action of the rectal mucosa, useful to reduce irritation or inflammation present in case of constipation. It is advised with a treatment of constipation, cracks or hemorrhoids.
This double action is obtained by Promelaxin, an active complex of honey, nectar and honeydrew selected for their content in monosaccharids and polysaccharids and melanoidins, enriched with the polysaccharide fraction of Aloe and Mauve.
It has a non irritant action of evacuation and activates defecation. It protects the rectal mucosa during the bowel movement, mimicking the physiological action of lubricating mucus. It protects and soothes the mucous exerting an anti-inflammatory action.
Use
Children between 3 and 12 years old: 1 micro enemas of 5gr.
Children between 1 and 3 years old: 1 micro enemas of 5gr.
Infants between 0 and 1 year old: 1/2 micro enemas of 5gr.
Indication: To liberate the intestine and to protect the rectal mucosa.
Apply some drops of product in the peri-anal area and gently introduce the canula in the buttocks. Press the dose and, at the end of application, press it until complete extraction to ensure that the product is not sucked.
How does Melilax work?
Melilax exerts a non-irritating, evacuative action and therefore provides a physiological and balanced stimulus to activate defecation.”Moreover, thanks to its mucus-like properties and its viscosity, Melilax protects the rectal mucosa during stool passage, with a lubricating action miming that of the mucus naturally produced by the rectum. These properties, in combination with the antioxidant action of the ingredients, enable the product to protect and soothe the mucosa; through an indirect anti-inflammatory action derived from the physical characteristics of the product.
Warnings
Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity or allergy to one or more components. Seek medical advice if constipation persists, in order to exclude other medical conditions. The micro-enemas are intended for single use. Do not reuse even when half-doses are administered.
