This adjustable bracelet has been strung with turqouise, amber, and ghost beads.



About ghost beads...
Ghost beads are made from juniper berries, which are edible berries that grow on juniper trees and bushes, a small evergreen plant similar to pine. Native Americans harvested these berries used them to season meat, to make pemmican, and to make beads. Ghost beads were made by stringing the berries onto necklaces and smoking them over greasy fires. They were supposed to protect the wearer from evil spirits and bad dreams. They were used historically in the Ghost Dance as part of the dancing ritual, and early catholic missionaries in America used them in their rosaries. The beads symbolize peace and harmony between humans, plants, and animals. MTGRL ghost beads are made using the traditional Native American open fire method.



About amber...
Amber is fossilized resin, or tree sap. The resin is released to protect the tree from potential threats such as insects. Things can become trapped in the resin, like twigs, dust, ants, flies, and all sorts of insects. When the sap becomes fossilized, it hardens into a transparent golden yellow stone that still contains the insect specimens. MTGRL amber is made from hardened tree sap from local trees.



About turquoise...
People have valued turquoise for thousands of years. This semi-precious stone can range in color from yellow to sky blue. It can be found in very few locations around the world. Most of American turquoise is from the Southwest, and green turquoise is usually from Nevada.
