There are spaces in between for appliques.

Piece measures approximately 22 1/2 by 22".

There is a sheet of instructions for a throw pillow.

I am assuming they are the directions for the pillow.

It could also be cut apart and 4 small pillows made.

At the edge of the fabric it says, designed by Suzane McNeill and Randee Paur, 1974, Donald Art Company, Inc, New York,

It also has the number DRC 7000-D.

There is also a needle.

Includes the front, back , and center batting.

The edges of the back are slightly frayed, and there is a light spot in one corner.

The back is lightweight linen and the front is cotton.
