This striking, Cult-Classic poster from Horror-Icon DAVID CRONENBERG 's first commercial feature is in Very Good / Excellent condition. With light edge and surface wear ; a few small surfaces creases ; an approx. 10" angled crease at the upper center-right from top edge thru hyphen ; pale foxing (spotting) throughout the word "Terror" and partly into text immediately below ; multiple staple holes in all four corner areas ; some light fingerprinting. Like most posters of this size, it is printed on extra-heavy glossy poster stock. It has always been ROLLED - never folded. Stored out-of-sunlight since the 70s, the colors are deep and unfaded.
The eerie exploitation poster features a great image from the film: a screaming woman struggling in a bathtub swirling with greenish-colored water. Includes the film's great, stylized logo, all against a deep black background.
The truly unnerving Canadian shocker, which launched the career of writer/director DAVID CRONENBERG stars PAUL HAMPTON , JOE SILVER , LYNN LOWRY and BARBARA STEELE "as Betts."
