Grandma Moses Winter Landscape Print Primitive Folk Art
Welcome! Presenting a vintage Grandma Moses winter landscape print on paper signed in the plate on the bottom center of image "Moses". The print is a primitive folk art image of activity in a small town or village during winter, with people riding in horse drawn sleighs, ice skating, gathering wood and even skiing on the mid-ground left. The village is dominated by a church spire, surrounded by buildings and cozy homes.
The image itself measures 10 1/2 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide and is matted and framed under glass in a narrow brown wood frame measuring 16 inches long by 13 inches wide. There is an old label on the back that says "Custom Framed by Snowbird Art & Frame, Star Route 22, Salem, N.Y. 12865", along with the phone number. There is also picture wire for hanging.
PLEASE NOTE: This print has not been unframed, so I am unable to verify the condition of the paper under the frame, mat and backing. The visible image is in good to very good intact condition. There are mild to moderate dirt spots on the mat and the black paper on the back is torn. The frame has some mild dings and wear. There is some glare and reflection from the glass in some of the photos.
