Obtained a large collection of original vintage lithograph prints by the reknown artist: ROGER TORY PETERSON. These all have been artist SIGNED. From a collection of BIRDS OF OUR LAND. Marked: COPYRIGHT 1954, JOHN MORRELL & CO. PAINTINGS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JOHN MORRELL & CO.
Roger Tory Peterson (American) 1908-1996. American ornithologist and artist noted for his bird paintings and guidebooks.
The lithograph prints are made from a nice quality paper, a thicker medium stock paper. Measures 10-1/2 inches wide by 12 inches high.
Titled: WOOD DUCK. Beautiful feathers on these wood ducks. A male and female duck. Colors of midnight black, midnight blue, brown, green, grey, and the male duck has red orange accents on his beak. Ducks are perched on top of a dead branch on a tree near the edge of a pond. A lone colorful snapping turtle also is sunning himself on the log.
***NOTE: This print has been discounted in price since at the top edge of the print are aged tape marks that has darkened the lithograph. Also at the bottom in both corners. Also some slight age toning on the print.***
